Many times when I read our local newspaper
I see that a provider or client has been caught
in the hobby from Craig's list. Why does LE always focus on Craig's list? Has anyone ever
been arrested from the site Eros.com or Escorts.
com or many of the others. Just wondering?

Laziness. Its easy when the ladies do not screen and the guys do not check reviews.
Its simple for LE to just make an appt with a gal and go pick her up. She went in blind, same with men who do not do their research.

CL is a free ad site, thus making it by far the highest traffic provider ad site on the internet. By being free and ads posted instantly, it attracts the good, bad, and ugly. Many providers there are easy to nail, they do no screening whatsoever.

Many ladies on CL you will also find on Eros, Cityvibe, etc. Those do get nabbed as well, its just that there are so many on CL that are easier prey.

LE frequently use CL to sting customers because it is free and easy.

Place an ad, post a few pictures, answer a few calls, and just like that, not only do the guys turn up to get arrested, they've made an appointment to do so!!!

As a rule, LE doesn't actively enforce prostitution laws unless: a) someone gets too big their britches and the cops want to show the limits, b) a politician want too get tough on crime, c) its TV sweeps month, or d) too many complaints from the public.

Given the widespread use of CL for everything, it has become the Main Street if the internet, and the girls who advertise there are the akin to streetwalker.  I'm sure the cops have had more than a few complaints from soccer moms who's little angels have discovered how easy it is to find a call girl.  Local LE can't control what goes on CL, but they can act against who advertises there.

It's a lowlife site, and the Kmart of escort malls. It's an EASY target for LE.

I agree with the foregoing...  they can get 1 room & have a steady stream of CL girls busted in one night.  It's just too easy to pass up.  Unless there's a specific high value target, they don't care who they bust...  they're just looking to scare off "hah" the working girls.

... that they sit at the bottom of a hill working radar, thats where they can get the most business!  Craig's List is not 'under the radar.'  I've used Craig's but also I check the local listings there daily out of boredom and, after a LONG time, I have a pretty good sense of who is 'real' and who is either LE bait or an agency scam (if she looks like she just fell out of the Centerfold of Playboy and wants $100.00 an hour... SOMETHING is wrong!).

or More Bang for Their Buck!

They want numbers for the DA and the Mayor, NOT that they busted some HEH....

'Cause I'm the new kid on thew block, I do have to use CL sometimes, thought Eros is my best. But I screen the crap out of the poor boy.
My dream is to one day have nice reviews on TER and never have to worry about CL again. But I have to give CL this...it's been good to me.

I am in total agreement with the other posters that the risk-benefit ratio for providers on CL is not worth it.  However, I've wondered if this risk is present with regards to CL couples (male-female) looking to put on a show for male(s).  On the one hand, it seems reasonable that the lack of screening and reviewing applies equally as well to couples as it does to female providers and this makes it dangerous. On the other hand, most boards are dominated by single female providers and couples action (I admit a little off the beaten path) seems to be ignored.
