Why none of my posts been on the board?

you are moderated.

Every new member of TER starts out moderated, and stays that way until a moderator decides he/she has something to say, will follow the rules, and won't cause trouble.

The mods should decide whether or not to approve your posts within 24 hrs.  Sorry, but there is no requirement for a mod to explain why your post wasn't approved.

Mods can disallow your post simply because it is written poorly or because it uses all caps. Personally I don't allow all caps to post on any of my boards. Flames, outing prople, excessive bitching and just being an asshole are perfectly good reasons for disallowing posts. There are plenty of other boards that allow anything to be said by anyone.

the moderator for the board I use has a rule of min 13 posts and 1 review before you can be put on unmoderated status.  I guess it's up to the moderator of the board you are on.  You may have to ask to be put on unmoderated status.  Madison

Most likely never!

If you have questions about why your messages haven't been posted, you should contact the board's moderator directly.

I would have to say you're one of the better mods. Being female, if I say something that might upset the guys next door, the posts never see the light of day. I guess my type of upfront honesty doesn't fly well with the hard core group. Oh well.

every board on TER has its own tone.  This board is intended to be friendly and informative.  "In your face" honesty isn't always what is needed.

Would it be different if i was a vip or thats the rule?

There is ABSOLUTELY no connection between VIP status and being moderated.

Each moderator has his own standards, but the usually involve having something meaningful or funny to say, and not causing trouble with your posts.

Like I said each mod has own rules, and I'm kinda surprised that one would include a review requirement.  Its because of things like this why I always recommend that you ask the mod where you are posting.

Because the ladies have limits on when and how to advertise on the boards, there may be other requirements to get out of the moderation desert.

BTW, your moderation status applies to all moderated boards, once you are released on one, you are free on all of them.  This is why the mods of the national boards, like this one will not un-moderate new members, but they will moderate someone who causes trouble.

I'm so glad someone asked this question.  I had wondered why I didn't see my posts.  So I shouldn't take it personally...yet?
