They even had a TV show on NBC talking about cougars  (over 40).

Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom doesn't count.  Those are different cougars.

“Cougar” certainly congers up more provocative imagery.

Cougar: (as defined here in Canada) is normally a woman over 40, probably divorced, the type you see at a bar wearing an outfit that is meant for a 20-year old, sipping the same wine she ordered an hour ago, that she didn't tip on, too much make-up, but a heart of gold, searching in the wrong place, for her Prince Charming
