Tried posting this on the Erotic Highway but no luck. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts/advice on seeing a provider as a way of breaking a so-called "dry spell." For a variety of reasons, including the end of a long and serious relationship and an intense focus on career advancement, I have not had sex in nearly 4 years. I'm not kidding. Had one very intense and unexpected sexual encounter a year ago, it didn't go "all the way."

So, I've become interested in the hobby. As a way of restoring my confidence. And also because I'm just too damn busy to date! Little bit nervous, but mostly excited. Advice?

Thanks.

I discovered in my mid twenties that seeing provider(s) shortly after the end of a civvie relationship would take the "edge" off the feelings of disenfranchisement so commonly felt at that time. In addition; Women have a sixth sense when it comes to a man's "need" level. If you're not getting "any" a woman can smell it a hundred feet away and they don't want to be the one to give it to you. However; if you walk into a social situation 'freshly fucked' every broad in the room will sense it, and deem it their personal mission to prove that they can fuck you better.

If this is something that interests you just do your research and go for it!
Speaking as a woman; neediness never meant anything to me.  If I wanted to have a man I'd take him.

I don't have a girlfriend right now, so I'm not only seeing a provider to "break the dry spell", but just as importantly to me, I am looking forward to the companionship. I've noticed that several guys on the discussion boards value the "non-intimate" interaction just as much as the intimate interactions.
