It could be song, movie, book, even food.

Those posts always seem to get a lot of participation, and no one starts a riot over them, usually anyways

that somehow relate to TER. As long as you keep things anonymous and light-hearted, they will go over well.

Most people love reading anout an oops or gotcha as long as nobody gets hurt.

Making fun of oneself (like "would you care to guess where I found poison ivy"?) helps too.

In any case, don't be shy, post away. We all get slapped (or our posts get ignored) occasionally. No biggie :)

Welcome aboard!

Touring ladies (do you tour?) often initiate threads with Qs about dining, sightseeing, best neighborhoods to stay, best/worst time to visit a city. Helpful replies address those Qs and reveal a little of you (whether you recommend some local pub food or an out of the way miniature golf range; alert about some convention using up all the hotel space). Initiating Qs like that might not go over well on someone's local board where they supposedly know that stuff. "What's your favorite bar?" might seem a little contrived.

On the Boston board, almost anyone (local or touring; M or F) could ask "If Boston gets the 2024 Summer Olympics, will it be good or bad for the hobby?"

And FYI, I hope I get this right, when starting a new thread, you can't include your link in the body of the post (threAD)

Her reviews however are linked and that's just as good from a marketing standpoint and it makes a threAD look less like a threAD, which is the key to a good threAD. lol

The key to getting accepted on your local board is to NOT appear to be one of the "Look at me" variety hookers, there is at least one of those on every board and for every appointment they gain by responding to every ISO post, they lose two guys who think she looks needy and desperate, so don't be THAT girl. lol

Ok I did understand what you said in the first paragraph.. Lol but is there a link I don't see that I need to remove? I'm trying to get my other link deleted because it is not my phone number anymore..oh and the second paragraph I definitely don't want to be that girl. What does ISO mean I have seen that before? TY again xoxoSassy

It contains a link to your reviews, just like every post you will ever make will do, which is a good thing. but it doesn't not contain the direct link to your website, which would be a no no. Just speaking for myself, I prefer it when a lady does NOT add the link to her web site on any posts except for her weekly ad post on her regional ad board, but that is just my personal preference, it is certainly allowed on all posts except those posts that actually start a thread.

ISO stands for In Search Of.  In the context of what I was talking about, I meant responding to EVERY guys who makes a post looking for a companion. Especially if the guy says he is looking for a red head, and a woman responds that "I am a blond, but pick me anyhow" It just makes the woman doing so look needy and desperate and that is NOT the image of you that you want to put out there.
