NEW OR OLD NAME FOR INDEPENDENT

As a new provider working for an agency I eventually want to go independent. There will be a transition period where I will be working both until I create respectable clientele as an independent. My question is should I continue using the same name for both or create a new one?

If you have clients through the agency that you trust, you may want to share your desire to go independent with them. Most good agencies expect that their best ladies will go indy some day, the key is to not be playing both sides of the field while working for the agency. Many of your best repeat clients will visit you as an indy and may write reviews, so a name change will not cause you problems if you perform well.
If you will have new clients the best thing for you to do is get yourself a website that contains all needed information on your rates, rules, schedule, contact information, ect. There are many media to advertise through, some have better reputations than others, check for media in your home location as well as check sites such as Cityvibe, EROS and Exotics, you should get some ideals about how to advertise. Finally, before you ever start as an indy, set up a strong verification method and a contact system that protects your privacy and identity - some of the experinced independent ladies that visit this board can give you better information about how to verify and setup phone and email contact than I can.

be much easier for your old clients to follow you, when your old clients start to recommend you to their friends it will be much easier for everyone only having to remember one name .....
