I am a 39 year old male that has been married for close to 20 years and both boys are basically out of the house. Both my wife and I swing (about the last 18 months)and I wanted to investigate providers in my area. As I am totally new to this experience I wanted suggestions of good "starter" providers in the area. I am also a VIP member and have done some research as well. As I manage offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Virginia Beach, Orlando, and Miami I travel to these locations a lot. I have been spending a lot of my time recently in Atlanta. Give me some suggestions on how to start OR even a suggestion or two of a good provider to help me get started. Its going to be my New Years resolution to write a review in the 1st quarter of next year of a successful experience. Also. I am sooo trying to figure out all the terms (BBBJ, etc) is there some article that explains them all? Cheers...Sx
For starters, take some time to read at least several pages of the Newbie forum, including the post linked at the bottom of this message.
Regarding hobby terminology, you can either search the Newbie board to find the answers, or you can check out the post titled 'Definitions, Acronyms, Abbreviations, and Terms' here on the Newbie board, which should cover your questions.
Post your ISO messages on the 'In Search Of' discussion board and on appropriate regional boards for the cities you visit - Atlanta, Carolinas, Florida, etc. ISO posts are not allowed on the FAQ for Newbies board.
I see that you have already obtained a VIP membership (good move) - you can use it to read reviews in their entirety, and you can also communicate via Private Mail (PM) with other TER members regarding providers that interest you.
Try searching the Newbie forum for topics that interest you, and you will likely find that many discussion threads already exist.
The TER discussion boards and TER reviews contain a multitude of information designed to assist you in making good hobby decisions.
