How does a Newbie get qualified

I fully understand how and why a provider wants to be able to verify a dunce like myself with other providers before accepting an appointment.  But how does a newbie like myself get that first appointment?

A little info here.  I live in TN and I have been pondering making the plunge for a while but I am afraid of getting caught locally.  So I am planning on making the dive while on a trip to San Diego in the Summer.  Of course, these pro's will want a reference.  I don't have any.  Plus, my time there will be limited to about 1.5 days as I am going there for a fishing trip.

Any advice will be appreciated simply because I want to have everything arranged before I leave.

i say try out an agency. give them the required information. that would be the best way to start off. just call an agency up and go for it.

Hi jon54, not all providers necessarily require references. Some do, but many don't. Most of the providers I've seen didn't want to bother with references because it was a cumbersome process. There are other ways to verify. One is sending an email from your job. Or calling from your job. I've not had to do either of these either. Following their procedures to the letter and being patient and respectful seems to set their mind at ease.

Do you have a handful of San Diego providers in mind already? If they have websites have you submitted a booking request?

Here's what I would consider ideal. You have enough cash to see at least two providers. Have at least 4 providers in mind that you feel are safe, via TER reviews. Try to book the appointment now before you arrive in San Diego, and try to book at least two.

The problem is that you're only going to be there for a day or so. It's very easy for things to fall through, these woman have lives too and could get sick, their kid could get sick, any number of things. So have some fallback options.

In no way am I suggesting that you should book multiple providers and only see one and leave the others hanging. Time is money for these women and standing them up is not cool. What I am suggesting is to have two lined up and follow through with two. Have two more that you haven't booked but have researched to fall back on just in case. You still don't guarantee success but you'll stack the odds in your favor, vs just trying to get hooked up in 1 day without any pre-screening, etc.

In my opinion you might be safer to do this in TN first. You know the lay of the land. In San Diego you're out of your element and won't be able to judge what is safe and what is not as well as you could if you're on your home turf. It would be easier to succeed in San Diego if you've already got some experience under your belt.

Above all, do your research on TER. Make sure to see well reviewed providers and make sure those reviews are by regulars on TER. Cops can post reviews just as you and I can.

This is how I would do it, but maybe I'm full of it.

Good luck,

Astucious

Join a verification service..if not be prepared to give the info the Provider of your choice, whether it be work info, or cell phone info etc because they WILL check to see if your legit. If your not ready to accomadate in giving them what they need to assure their safety, i can predict that there is 100% probability that you won't see a Provider! So if your serious about this, then i would start to look at who's available in the SD area, and find out what they need for you to see them. It's not to early to start looking at least now and start the process of PRE-SCREENING so when you are there all you have to do is call the girl and she'll already have you in her "data bank"  so to speak!

LadyJayLa, I have already started contacting some and they think I am crazy for calling so soon.  I will stay after them.  I've told all of them I will give them my main office number and they can call anytime during office hours.  I'm not sure what good giving them my cell phone does.
