I'm new to the hobby and have never contacted an escort before. What can i expect as far as the reference thing since i have no providers to list? I looked at the date-check site and they ask for employers ph#. I really dont think that is a good idea. so my question is how do i go about making a date with no references?

Granted, we all want to get laid, but some folks aren't willing to take the steps necessary to play. Cautious is OK, but some things have to happen, or the bus isn't gonna stop.
I know many girls feel so much better if a guy puts down all his personal info. What is this for?
Maybe to track if the guy is a psycho so after a psycho kills someone, they can catch him.
Or maybe it's to falsely assure a girl that a guy is not LE.
Now it sure would be so naive to think that LE has no access to fake phone numbers, ID's, plane tickets, credit cards etc...

Well, if you were to be able to check each escort that's advertising out there, and compare how many require personal info, it's a very small minority of girls.
Do a search on some of the escort sites, there are girls that will even want your shoe size and others that could care less what your cell phone number is, as long as you're not a freak and have the correct dollars with you.
Here's another suggestion:
If you're outgoing, resourceful and aren't a jerk or a freak, you can search through the reviews, see a guy that sees the same kind of girl you are attracted to. Send him a message, ask him to be a mentor to you.
This is not going to happen overnight since you need to build trust and confidence in you.
Buy the guy a drink after work or buy him some lunches to give you good inside information and experiences.
Lots of guys here are social loners so getting togther with another guy will seem very strange and almost insulting. But it's like dating, if you strike out once, you sit at home all alone. But if you keep asking, sooner or later you'll find someone that will be open.
I've mentored a few guys and it's worked out well for both of us when it it was a 2 way street and one is not a parasite.
Word of mouth from a guy that's established is even better than giving your work number and other sensitive info to a girl looking for that trust and assurance.

I scheduled my first session last Saturday. I was pretty paranoid about all the personal info. So I used an established service with a number of well reviewed providers. I figured they realistically couldn't be LE and they had something to lose themselves so they most likely aren't in the business of screwing their clients around (at least figuratively). At that point I decided to give 'em the info. they wanted and decided to call using my cellphone while at work after hours when the switchboard was shut down. The service called right then and could hear my office phone ringing in the background. That seemed to work OK. I then told them that if they "Googled" me they could verify just about anything else they were likely to ask. The verification question just stopped. (From a providers point of view maybe they should have kept verifying, I can't say) Yes, I googled myself and found enough hits to make it worth a try. This strategy might not work for everybody, but until I build a little credibility and some decent references in the hobby, I'm going to keep using it. The phone thing seemed to help in any event.
is see a reputable provider who welcomes newbies and doesn't require calling your employer. She's taking the risk here, not you. It's important to build trust with your providers. Seeing the first one is not that tough, since most ladies don't require much verification. And she can be your reference for the future.
The problem I ran into with this approach is trying to see a very exclusive lady who requires multiple references from providers who also require multiple references.
Sure, LE can lie and use fake documents and photo IDs, but what is stopping them from using a fake phone receptionist too? They're LE, they have resources. The only think stopping them is the will to do it.
