If a review is an "outlier" they may hold it, even from a known reviewer

I recently had a review "Deferred" but I've not seen that before...any ideas as to what it means?

TIA

Check the My Ter tab then look at My Feedback
Should be blinking and click on it and should say Defered review explaining the reason
Also they usually seng a PM explaining the reason so check your mail

A decision has not been made yet whether to approve it or deny it. As the other poster said, check your Feedback and PM, to see if they gave you a reason for the deferral. If you don't find anything, use the contact us button at the bottom of the page, and ask. Sometimes it is something as simple as an ad site or website link. Sometimes it is much more complex, but they will tell you if you ask.

Thanks. The review is not missing info...I've done a few of these.

Reason given was "On Hold"

Oh well...

Perhaps because provider hasn't been reviewed before?

And if you actually listened to PS and the other poster you'd probably have you answer already rather than speculating.

Why guess when it's easy to know? (sure that "binary" shouldn't be quantum?)

...since you have plenty of reviews to your credit.

but I do recall that they don't make things as clear as they might.  With the website upgrade, maybe they can change the adjectives or even provide a "timeline" like an an online tracking number display for a submission.

I can't draw a 3-way "split" E  but you'll get the idea:

(submiitted *) asterisk * means step completed
--- (accepted for review by TER *)
--- (rejected - send back for editing) or ---(send back for minor editing) or ---(accepted for posting *)
--- (POSTED *) or (permanently rejected)

Track reviews with a graph and color-bar kind of thing:

They do hold first reviews by first time reviewers, but not from experienced review writers. I have written several providers' first reviews and they all were easily approved.

If his review is either a LOT better or worse than the norm, they may be holding it to try to verify certain details before approving it.

Like the rest of us, I am simply grasping at straws, admin is the one with the answers, all we have is speculation and more questions.
