END OF MESSAGE

For the first three hours or so (p'storm: is it 2 hours, 3 hours, or ? hours?), your post will have five (or six?) options listed in small letters underneath it OR in the Actions drop down menu if it is the TOP post on the page.
Reply - Quote - Edit Message - Report this post - Like - Ignore this user
.
Sometimes it's best to find your post down the page and click on the blue subject line. That will send it to the top of the of the page and the Action menu drop down will appear (and a copy also appears down the page in it's "normal" position among the replies).
.
"Edit Message," make your edits, and hit Post Message. Sometimes, the edited message goes into the Moderation queue and needs an Admin to review it and re-post it. Sometimes, the edited message goes live immediately.
.
After ~three hours, "Edit Message" disappears as an option.  At that point, you have to "Report this post" or use "Contact Us" (Us = TER Admin) to make changes or deletions. If it's something minor or trivial, just let it stay. If it's something you think is important but not worth waiting 4-16 hours to get moderated, just Reply to your own post. A common example (for me), would be: "Replying to my own post to correct a major typo: I forgot a "not." I meant to say, "It is NOT the best way to edit a post." but I mistakenly posted, "It is the best way to edit a post." "
.
Edited posts will automatically insert a notice like this:

Click on the post you want to edit.  At the bottom of the post on the right is a green tab labeled "Actions."  Click the tab and you'll get a drop-down menu with these options:
Reply
Quote
Edit Message
Report this Message
Ignore User

If you do NOT see the "Edit Message" option, that means your post has already been posted for more than four hours.  To check the time of your post, click "My TER" at the top of the page.  Then click the word "More" for the drop down menu.  Click "My Board Posts" and you'll see the exact time your post was posted.

If you want to delete a post within four hours, click the Actions tab and then click Edit Message.  Delete everything in the body of the post.  Delete what is on the Subject Line and replace it with the word "Deleted" or "Please Delete."
