Then again, On the other hand, I've been hobbying since way before the internet was involved and I still learn something new all the time around here...

and yes, this board is often a great cure for boredom!

I've hobbyied on-and-off for about twenty years, been a member of TER since 2001, have 24 reviews and today, I enter my second year moderating the newbie board.  I still start many encounters with a dry mouth and a cold sweat.

You will never know everything, and the rules are constantly changing.  And it is always good karma to help others!!!

Just people with varying amounts of knowledge and perspective.

When we share this, then no one is a newbie anymore.
