I am a new provider and I have been reading all the posts on this board and my local board, photos, reviews, etc and of course the Self-Help Center! You all have been so wonderful to learn from and I look forward to chatting with you on here, and maybe even meeting some of you  

I am having my new photos taken this upcoming week. So excited!

Dear Ms. Evans:
When you get enough reviews don't forget to become a member of the providers only board.  When you do, ask several questions on screening.  It is the life blood and safety issue of this business.  It is one facet of the business to where you can never know enough.  Only deal with verified hobbyist and only receive verification from verified and well known providers.   If you do this, you should have a long and prosperous career.

If you read other threads for newbies, you probably read about watermarking your pics, using the photog's watermark on your pics, who owns (controls) your pics and to what extent, etc. If you do have Qs before the shoot, ask away.
