Screening/Verification

I'm still very much a newbie at this.  Quick question regarding the verification process. I had a escort/massage provider tell me that I needed to verify through a 3rd party.  It wasn't DateCheck or anything similar.  It was a web cam site.  I needed to sign up for the free trial($3) and provide them the registration number. This was the IM I received. Is this legit or a scam?  Any advice would be great.  Thanks!

"here u go luv. when ur done i need the registration # plz and i'll send u my cell # for directions. if i'm not on, just leave me an offline w/ ur registration number and a number 2 contact u.

Super.  Thanks for confirming my suspicions.  I will move on.

It is the same type of scam as the CL posts that used to be something like: "Text my name xxx to yyy to get a hold of me."

That will subscribe you to some pay per text scheme that will end up costing much money, and provide no relief of the type you want.

The CAM site will merely subscribe you to some subscription service that will be very difficult to get out of.

I saw a real funny one where the advertisement said that you needed to subscribe to this site to verify that you were a gentleman.  What I wanted to know is how does having a credit card with $30 available on it make you a gentleman???

My suggestion (and I have done this a couple of times), is to get a gift credit card with say $10 on it.   Subscribe to the sites with the 30 free days with it, and then when they try and charge the monthly fee of whatever, it is declined.

Agree with the rest of the posters, this is a scam. I've been with 3 providers and never had to do anything remotely like this. In fact I've never had to provide references. They're a little suspicious at first but the experienced women seem to be able to judge if I'm safe or not just talking to me on the phone.
