I am a newbie and havent officially gotten into the hobby yet but I will be soon! Anyway I was wondering if your friends know about it? I want to tell a couple of my friends who I know for a FACT that they need to get laid badddddd. Should I introduce them to it? Im not sure how they will react

I've been surprised by how many friends that I thought could handle it, flipped out when I made subtle comments about escorts in general.  I didn't push the issue, but could tell immediately that I'd misjudged that aspect of their moral code.

I do hide it from some of my friends wives, for their benefit not mine. I am just too lazy to lie, and I really don't care what most people think about me.

One small disclaimer. I am divorced and own my own company, I don't have to care what people think about me. I realize that not everyone has that luxury.

The only friend who knows is one who has been with a couple of ladies. There are, however, several guys from TER that I have met and become friends with. I'm pretty sure they know.

I advise you think long & hard (sorry, pun intended) about revealing your hobby.  You can't unring a bell.  
A secret is a secret when you are the only one who knows.  "I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you!"  You don't want to put the burden of deciding to keep your secret onto anyone else...  you may not like how they decide to handle it...  but the consequences are yours.    
Once I thought about telling my closest friend but then thought better of it.  Some things are best taken to the grave with you...  in my case it will be with a grin!

The ones that I have told understand why I hobby.  The ones I have not told, I don't think they would understand.  My brother knows, understands, but I don't think he really approves.  Sisters don't know, they would not approve, or understand AT ALL!!!!!!

Only tell those that you are sure will understand why you are doing it.  Since you are pretty young for a hobbyist (Ithink), be careful who you tell.  If you are older like me,  well, tell whoever you want to know that you are having sex with much younger chicks......LOL

since you don't know how they would react, I don't think it's a good idea. Just because your friends need to get laid, doesn't mean they will approve.  I beleive it's none of my friends business how I spend my time and money. good luck with your first hobby experience, make sure you do your homework.

The only way I would tell a friend is if I saw them at a hobby-related event like a Meet & Greet. At that point, why not, since the cat is out of the bag. But there is no way I would disclose to anyone that I didn't know for a fact was involved in it themselves. One inadvertent slip from anyone that knows about you can sink you. Job, family, money, reputation, career, etc. Risk it all for what? Bragging rights? If you need a kindred soul to talk to, give it time and you could find one from within the ranks of hobbyists you meet.

My $.02: it isn't worth the risk.

Sometimes things slip out or you actually get into a spat with your friend.  There can be quite a bit of stigma associated with this activity.  

If you're not sure how they would react then it is a particularly bad idea.

when we were playing cards, when a sex thread came up in conversation, I'd casually asked about threesomes, and my four encounters.  None of the other 5 guys claimed to have participated in one, so I didn't want to brag and let the subject drop.  After the rest of the guys headed home, I stayed a couple of extra nights to see my ATF and do another double....

It seems like fellows like to meet each other...  What is that all about?  And how often do ladies meet each other?  I tried that when I first started, but ended up not meeting any other ladies.

The only people that know I do this are friends in the business. Absolutely none of my friends outside the hobby know, and I plan on keeping it that way. Even if you trust someone, one accidental slip of the tongue can do a lot of damage.

No way you are asking for trouble if you do tell .Use common sense and keep it to yourself .
