By growing a polite pair and declining to pay her, after politely telling her why you're not paying

Ok I'm new at this and have a question. If the provider shows that is not the one in the pics on the add that was placed or the pics are so old they base minimum resemblance to the provider in person,

how do I politely and firmly refuse the provider and refuse to pay her for just showing up?

Huh. Shocked you don't want any part of this one. Too rich.

While you'll get some good answers here, I'm sure, please also consider posting your question on TER's 'Newbie' board.

I've never done this and I don't foresee ever needing to. But, there is little to zero chance I would ever find myself in that situation.

But, common sense alone says your only options are to go through with the session, or, (as many before you have done) show up here ranting about it after the fact, when you're all PO'd about what happened.

Be polite. Leave. (or ask her to leave)

There's no guarantee there won't be conflict even if he is polite. But, if it can be avoided, that would be better.

Personally I might find a loud squabble between some guy, and the provider he's just blown-off, going on in the hallway of a hotel amusing. Others...not so much.

...lol...best avoided, if possible.

the bait and switch gals know that most guys don't want conflict because of personal/professional reasons.  So what they will do when you decline is they will get "loud" and start making a "scene".  This has two affects.

1.  Your neighbors or other hotel guests will come out and you will be outed.  So you have to decide is it worth it.

2.  The madman theory goes into effect immediately.  During the cold war the U.S. and U.S.S.R had to play the game which one was the madman.  Both had enough nuclear weapons to destroy the other.  The question was which one will go first.  So you decide immediately is it worth it to be the madman in the situation.

Let me answer for you.  The answer is always NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

Bait and switch can be absolutely avoided if you stick to well reviewed ladies.  With research and keeping your libido in check this becomes a non-issue.

Going with well reviewed ladies almost illuminates the bait and switch however no one should ever feel intimidated even to just go through with it or pay for just showing up! Simply open the door and say "sorry you have the wrong place" then close the door or if it's incall say "sorry I'm at the wrong place" then quickly walk away.

Stand your ground and shut your door or walk away on them. THEY initiated the deceit. THEY are culpable; not you!

Many years back I had an agency threaten me over the phone with calling the police if I didn't pay their B&S a cancellation fee. I told them to "Please; Make my day".

This came from a hobbyist on another board. He would download the photo from the ad on his smartphone. When she opened the door if it wasn't the lady in the photo, he would bust out his phone, and show her the picture. He'd say, "This isn't you, and I'm not the guy who made an appointment. Bye."

didn't order.

Ever go to a restaurant and order a steak.  If the waiter brought you a hot dog would you eat it?  I doubt it!  I hope you would send it back to the kitchen.

Can you imagine the fun you would have had if they had made good on their threat? That in itself would have been worth the price of admission.

"Hello Police, This is Joe Pimp from down the road, I would like to report a john who is refusing to pay because he claims the ho I sent him wasn't the one that I advertised. Could you go arrest him please?" roflmfao

The best answer was probably by hotplants, there really is no reason to go off on her, be polite, but be firm. I agree that their is ZERO chance a B&S ROB ho, is getting a nickel out of me, Not by begging and certainly not by threats.
