When meeting a client at a hotel...who's responsibility is it to pay for the room?  The provider or hobbyist?

is this an incall or outcall visit?

Incall - he visits you at the place of your choice.  It can be your home (not advisable), a condo or apartment you've rented for business purposes, or a hotel room you've rented to entertain clients.  If this is the case, you pay for the room.

Outcall, he invites you to meet him at a place of his choice.  It could be his home, or a hotel room if he is traveling, or can't entertain at home.  In this case, he pays for the room.

A simple rule - HE or SHE who books the room is responsible for paying for it!!!

I'm using an alias because I don't want to out a lady who is trying to go more UTR (under the radar). But anywho, this lady I met has an in-call option where there is an additional charge if SHE obtains or books the Hotel room, since she does not have a more traditional in-call location. If it's a pure out-call to a location the hobbyist has paid for, then there's no additional charge. The additional charge is clearly noted on her rates page to avoid any confusion. Just wanted to mention this additional option.

That's why a lot of ladies have different rates for in-call vs. out-call.

For a lady that has multiple dates per day (touring lady), she will usually charge extra for out-call. She has already incurred the cost of the room, so she charges extra for the additional time required to get to/from the out-call location.

As you are starting out, you will probably only have one date per day. So, the room is an added cost to you. As such, you will probably have in-call rates that are higher than out-call rates.

Note: When you do get the room, get a decent place. You don't have to get the Ritz Carlton, but get something better than Motel 6. It is all part of your mystique, and the more upscale ambiance will help attract (and keep) more upscale gentlemen. Once you have a reputation for booking cheap hotels, upscale gentlemen may avoid you, and it is hard to upgrade your reputation.

There are things you can do to minimize the in-call no show problem (you pay for the room, and he doesn't show up).

Always book a room that opens to a central hallway and not directly to the out side. It's much safer for everybody involved

posted a tale of woe and intimated that her house was seized by LE.

Police seize property that is used in crimes all the time.  Often this is for drug and racketeering crimes and they seize cars, boats and the occasional home.

It's rare that cops will seize the home of an independent provider, but theoretically it could happen.

In general, working from a home, especially one you own, is awfully risky.  The biggest risk comes from neighbors who are annoyed at the traffic and (sometimes) noise that the business creates.  When they drop a dime, watch out.

Many gals who can justify the volume rent a small apartment in an area that has ample parking and enough of a crowd to assure some anonymnity to the clients who are coming in and out.  Otherwise, a room at a downtown hotel fills the bill, but can be pricey, especially if you are low volume.

Doing outcall is the other way to go, but that may mean foregoing a lot of incall business that guys often like.

Incall tends to be safer in terms of LE busts.  LE like to have the home court advantage for the sake of their safety.

Many of the higher end girls have told me that if you're going to do outcall to only go to some of the higher end hotels only for the simple reason that higher end hotels would not want a bust to be happening on their ritzy premises....whereas, lower end places like the Sheraton or Holiday Inn is more risky.  That's why you see on many girls website "to finer hotels only."  Incall has many advantages but it sounds like you don't have the money for that right now... Make sure, you screen clients though....are you screening these guys?

and a reputation with neighbors and community.  LE can seize the house if you use it to meet clients. Whether they will or not is the risk you take. There are sooo many other safety reasons not to use your house, but please don't think you are not worth the hassle to the local gestapo, because that's when you find out that you are.

Before we start getting the "relax, it's never happens" responses, let me paint you a very realistic picture:

Local DA or Police Chief is running for reelection or bucking for a new contract.

Even more local community morals group raises hell about the drug dens and houses of ill repute in the area.

Mr. DA man or Police Chief promises to clean up the neighborhood, and not only steps up patrols (marked and unmarked), but also starts responding to those pesky complaining calls that they always get from the whitehead, shut-in neighbors who keep seeing different guys going in and out.

The bust is made because the client who used up all of his testosterone at the session gets the Hershey Squirts of the Mouth and rats you out when he leaves and is confronted by the cops. (Ask Cara Whispers out of DC about this one)

Mr. DA man or Little Hitler decide to invoke the seizure laws and make a big splash on the local rag so that the whitehead shut-in spreads the word in the Bingo room at the Church on Sunday.

A sweet, beautiful birdie Robbin loses her nest.

Not only can it happen, but it does. I wouldn't put my house at the mercy of small town politics.

(still a lawyer and I have seen some shit)

I have been doing outcalls only, but have gotten several requests for incall.  These gentlemen have asked me to email them if I decide to do incalls.  I think I might get a hotel room and schedule two or three appointments for that day.  The only thing keeping me from doing it is that I don't know if I want to handle that much traffic.

I would pass some of the hotel charge on to them, not all, because w/o the room, I wouldn't have their business at all.  Plus, I get to use the hotel hot tub! Whoo!!!
