I read about the sea sponge & the "cup"
for the menstural cycle, and was wondering
which one is better?

The cup looks like it would wedge loose with heavy activity (Yuck lol), and the sea sponge
has to be cleaned super well or else it has scratchy fibers (Ouch!).

Also, is it Ok to advertise as French Only that time?

I'm seriously considering doing the birth control where you only have 3-4 a year since mine are so wacky (20-60 days apart wtf?).
If you do this method, which one is least side effects?

Sorry for the TMI, I dont have access to the provider board yet.

I know some ladies who use alternatives such as the cup or the sea sponge when it is that time. However, I'm afraid I can't help with advice on those. I'm one of those women who is likely to quite literally rip someone's head off simply for breathing in my presence when it is that time of the month. So there was absolutely no way I would consider working during that time, not even to offer "french only" sessions.

Some women though, do offer "french only" at that time, and seem to do fine with that.

Regarding birth control options, about a year and a half ago, I started getting the Depo Provera shot. Its an injection that you get once every 90 days. I was never able to tolerate conventional birth control pills, so it is a godsend to find that I could take Depo with no side effects. The first 60-90 days are hell because you spot quite a bit, or as was my case, damned near every day!!!! However, once I got over the side effects, the benefit of Depo is that you don't have periods. At all. JOY JOY JOY. No more visits from Mother Nature at ALL :)

Me, too. I feel too bad physically and emotionally to even consider ANYTHING. But from what I here the sponges hold better than the cups, according to one of my friend-girls.

I just try to plan ahead and take the week off- it's like my little "vacation" every month! Then I don't have to worry about ripping some guy's head off if he's less than a gentleman...
