Newbie inquiry about Provider preferences?

I'm a VIP member who, over the past few weeks, has been trying to gain some knowledge before I become actively involved. One question, which I couldn't seem to find addressed (too specific, probably) on the otherwise great newbie board is:

I'm a very clean, good looking, but really heavy guy (6.1, 380lbs, 12 years of Sumo wrestling, but otherwise gentle). That might not be every woman's cup of tea (especially since I love asian ladies). Do providers have/list their own preferences or should I check with them or does it simply not matter? Going through the bit of typical newbie nervousness, I'd hate to go through the verification just be be turned away at the meeting because the lady might get scared.

providers over how they will receive you.

I am sure there will be providers who will greet you with open arms, however I am sure there are others who will not.

To be fair to both of you, you should disclose this fact to the provider up front to avoid embarrasment and upset feelings on both sides.

I too am overweight.  I'm a relative newbie as well and had/have the same concern.  With the ladies I've seen thus far it has not been a problem.  I've been up-front with them and it didn't seem like an issue for them at all.  I don't know whether they were just being nice to me, but they indicated that most of their clients are overweight to some degree, so if they were wrapped around the axle about it they'd have a problem.

Depending on your situation you might want to be sensitive to the positions you put yourself and the lady in.  Just common sense I guess.

What I've discovered in discussing it with most ladies is that what they care about most is that their clients are clean and respectful -- physical appearance is not high on their list of priorities.

Of course, there are some ladies for which it does matter.  If you are up-front with them in your initial contacts this will draw the issue out and hopefully you can avoid any problems.

In general if you go with the well-reviewed providers you'll find it to be less of an issue.  They tend to have the good attitudes.

Good luck and happy hobbying.

I agree with honesty is the best policy as a provider.
I myself have no problem with weight as I think that such things come and go with all people, and its not what makes the person to me. "Do not have to have your eyes put out to see the worth in a person"Thats my motto.
Being that your sumo, mentioning that would be a geat indicator to your size and perhaps you could slide that in with not activiely wrestling but still wrestling size or some such if you dont want to come right out and be specific,ya know. I think most would get that hint.
If yo have a problem, let us know. We will find lots of women for you,I know of two including myslef right off hand that would not be effected in any way what so ever and your time would be as quality given as any  other smaller man.   So,go wrestle that little voice in your head to make a call. You wont be sorry,I can almost promise that if your honest up front and both are aware of what to expect, then its PLAYTIME!!!

Many have even told me.  I always include my race, height and weight in any introductory email, just in case it makes a difference.  I would rather the girl be upfront and tell me rather than going through with the appointment not at her best.

So I guess to me, it's worth mentioning if possible.

I haven't gone into specifics, but generally let her know that she is dealing with a "bald, fat, middle aged white guy"...

Personally, I could use 5 of those 6 words to describe myself, and I can get to all 6 if I add an "ing" to the bald part.  I don't think we're that rare a commodity.

If she states on her website anything about size, it would be with the age and race stipulations.  If she has nothing there about size, feel free to send her a note and do include your size with the rest of your stats (race, profession, age, etc.).  Most men include their stature at some point before the meeting regardless of whether they are under- or over-weight.

Personally, my biggest concern with overweight men is that they are going to have a heart attack or some other health problem.  In that vein, you may want to mention your physical health.

Kate,

Your heart attack comment really cracked me up (very good point, though). Rest assured, I'm a wrestler (turned businessman) who runs 3 miles nearly every morning and spends more time in the gym each week than many other people. I also have an FAA airman medical clearance and am in great overall health (ok, I had a torn meniscus once). I'm just a really big guy. I'll make sure I create a nice standard email that addresses all these concerns ahead of time.

Women who are into me (my type) are usually REALLY into me. The ones that are not don't even give me the time of day. Go figure... ;-)

Thanks for all the great replies and PMs, though. Very encouraging and helpful!

I am 5'10' and when I started in the hobby was 350. I have always been bothered more about my weight than the ladies. Use well reviewed ladies, be clean, and respectful and have fun.
