A newbies' verification problems

My problem is that in order to see the providers I've found interesting they require a reference that I don't have (being new to this hobby), or a work place verification which I also don't have being a full time student.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the all important first reference?

Some may take time to feel you out to determine whether you are legit and safe. Some may be willing to meet you if they get a good sense that you are for real.
Another alternative is to PM some known members from your regional board and ask them for the names and sites of some good agencies. The better agencies have top notch women and the good agencies normally use several verification methods that may work for you.

Quick follow-up question in this area, how does a provider verify your employment?  Do they call HR at your company and pretend to be checking your employement for credit card or something?

I was asked to bring my work ID.  I think they can also call your office number to see who picks up but I'm guessing on that one.

Thy have several ways. I have never had a provider call my HR department. I have had several call my desk exchange via my company's main exchange number (normally something ending in a number and zeros, like 5000). Once they had my desk, they spoke briefly with me in a way that could have had me talking to anyone.
I have had several ladies take the work exchange information that I gave them and go onto the internet to check out whether the company is real and how long it has been in business, usually such ladies are also the most sophisticated, bright and erotic when I meet them.
I have never had ladies misuse the company phone information, but at the same time, I choose ladies carefully before giving them that type of information.
Understand you work situation. If your calls are routed through a secretary, you may want to work with the provider to have her give a line to the scretary something like her being some type of professional that you work with outside of work - just make sure that the secretary cannot hang on the line, even if she does and the provider just says something like "calling to confirm your appointment at 7pm, give me a call at 6pm", the secretary would be none the wiser. Just stay away from kluxy providers that will screw up the communication and cause suspicions to arise. If you have a private exchange where calls come to your desk via the main company exchange, then you are golden because only you can get the calls except under extrodinary circumstances. Just be sure to have an answering message with your voice in it in case you are away from your desk.

For me one agency just called my office up and just asked for me and that was enough.

can do a poor job on the discretion front. The practiced pros seldom mess it up, on the other hand. Stay with the good ones and there will be no regrets of any type.

If so, see if the provider will accept your listing (and/or an email from the .edu addy) along with you bringing your school ID with you to the session as verification.

If not, try an agency. I had the same problem when I started hobbying. Let me know how it turns out.

Now, I really must get back to my snacks.
