Why are IDs now becoming a part of screening?

I have been seeing this and being asked this more and more lately. When did this become standard fare? And why!! If I were to ask a provider for the same info I’d be lambasted. Yet if I give the same concerns I’m considered a threat. Can someone in this great community explain it to me so I can understand why such intrusive screening methods. Multiple References and P411 aren’t worth anything anymore.

I think the women reassessed things over the Sesta-Fosta shut down and suddenly they had much more leverage. I also think the MeToo movement had something to do with it and Covid played a part too. Deposits have become more and more common as well. Let's be honest. We may not like the intrusion but from their side, it logically makes them safer not just in terms of personal safety but for also not wanting people they know in their personal lives to knock on their door.

100% agree it makes sense from the provider side and also 100% agree that some clients don't feel comfortable exposing personal information. It just comes down to leverage.

Sesta-Fosta increased their risk and providers deserved to be compensated for that. It shut down a lot of provider forums, which made verifying references less reliable. It shut down lots of review sites. Providers and customers got used to working in an environment where they didn't exist so a no review policy stopped being a red flag. COVID created tons of pent up demand while limiting supply so providers had no choice but to raise rates and demand deposits and the practice has continued. Events of the past few years have put burdens on providers while also shifting some aspects of the power balance towards them.

Also there was that case that was solved recently and you can be pretty sure asking for a photo ID would deter a lot of shady people.

and jerk it.

P411 is useless as far as verification goes. They screen us harder to get on that site than they do the clients.

A bit testy are you? It was a simple question.

this method of screening is a lot better... especially for those companions who have established themselves/ pay rent for an incall/ upscale experience girlies etc. It cuts out the time waster/ fantasy booking guy, the guy who like to assault women, the thief etc. It literally stops them right at the gate before they can really waste your time. IF the ID wasn't enough, then the deposit will stop them in their tracks.  Sometimes, but its rare... a bad client will make it even with all of this information... but at least the lady won't be dead and no one knows who did it. Assaulted/ raped/ robbed and not a name to a face etc.

If any of you are on twitter and following any companions, I'm sure you've seen your fair share of assaults against providers and the murders of more than a few providers... I saw one provider that got beat really bad during a session and she came to twitter. Turns out the one time she didn't screen because she was in need... she paid dearly for that.

With that being said, I hope it continues; the screening via ID and deposits. In my experience, I've saved so much of my time and energy by doing so. I don't get discouraged by who doesn't want to book and I haven't lost money because the money doesn't count unless it's in my hands. I have a good civvie job and am really looking for and waiting for good quality clients who will provide the experience I want.

Just because 1 group is discouraged and doesn't want to play 1 way.. doesn't mean other men feel the same.

Thank you Mia for a very thought provoking response. Getting a perspective from the providers side does make sense.

I agree with this 100%. There have been some recent incidents of assault/murders going around the twitter community.

It's less about 'getting leverage' and more about feeling safe. If I don't feel safe my kitty can't get wet.

I show you mine, will you show me yours? Good for the gander, good for the goose.

Those of us who advertise on Tryst and 3ros have given them our real IDs and done photo matching... so if a provider asks you for ID you could look her up on one of those ads sites as well and then know she has given them her ID. I'm not sure about other ad sites. Hope that helps xo your b.

This doesn’t even make sense. We have reviews, you all don’t.

We ask for IDs and a current picture of yourself for safety, in case something happens. It’s usually deleted after the date. I myself don’t keep that private information on my phone.

I only ask for ID if the gentleman doesn't have TER, P411, LinkedIn or prior references. I can understand it seems intrusive but this can be a very dangerous line of work and some ladies screen more heavily than others.

Why would I trust, or rely on references from providers I do not know personally? P411 does not screen for our safety. They are an advertising site. P411 does not claim to verify potential clients for providers. They do not check real life information, or do criminal background checks. I don’t care how many okays you have I am always going to do my own homework because no one other, than me has my best interests at hand. Peace is priceless.

and it only will become so if we accept it and acquiesce. Just book those who do not require such intrusiveness  - they far outnumber those who do.

Unless you don’t care if the whole world sees them.  Even well meaning providers get hacked, providers get robbed, providers get arrested.  Info inevitable leaks into the public domain.

The client is only worried about if the girl looks like her pictures, we are worried about soo much more. Especially after they finally caught the Long Island serial killer. Think about it.

I respect providers’ screening requests. It is all about mutual safety. Personally, for my own safety, I don’t entertain a provider who doesn’t have at least consistent 9s plus on their TER reviews. It goes both ways.
