I do not believe someone that puts up a post like this simply to criticize other members who participate in good faith is worthy of a response but I for one certainly believe stl6468 and topbossman are two very important members of our community and they both add a lot in a constructive manner to the discussions on this board.
Maybe this guy is still stinging from the ladies he saw in his 2 reviews written in 2003 where he got bit on the ass both times. I guess he didn't really know how to unlock the value of TER.

Should posters indicate if they have an economic interest in TER or those being reviewed?

i have always found it laughable and hypocritical that some board members here (or any other type of internet forum) admonish others for using an "alias"
ALIAS:
–noun 1. a false name used to conceal one's identity; an assumed name
i submit that unless you are posting with the name that's on your driver's license, credit card, or tax returns ... then every-fucking-person on here is using an ALIAS and needs to remember that we are all hiding in our little pockets of cyber-space as we gather and socialize here.
that said, unwarranted personal attacks and lack of basic social etiquette need not be tolerated, and citing whether someone is using a "handle" or "alias" really shouldn't have to play a role in that.
Would you feel more comfortable linking your ATF's website to an unknown alias, or an established hobbyist?
I do not have a problem with using an alias, I use multiple myself. However, I would not post a 411 using one, and I will never point one in the direction of a provider.
You may feel free to do so, if that is your choice.

That is quite a strong statement coming from a guy who has two posts in the last 3 years, and contributes nothing to the local community.
Nonetheless, I stand by my position of not blurting out 411 information to an alias. This subject has been discussed on other regional boards on TER, and I am not alone.
Your perception of stroking egos is misguided. Do I support my friends on this board? You bet I do. I will continue to do so, as I see fit.
Perhaps if you start contributing, and fit in around here, you may get some support yourself. Otherwise, you are welcome to lurk and remain a silent part of our society.

Just for the record, in the current climate/environment around here at the moment -- does it occur to you that posting details around here may be something that many people don't want to do -- particularly if they don't know who's asking -- which if you use an alias no-one does?
As I understand it, aliases are intended to be used to share sensitive info, not ask for it.

While I do not personally know either of them - I believe both stl6468 and topbossman are two very standup contributors to the board. They have always been professional and fair from what I've observed. If you're going to rant about anyone, especially these two, please do without an alias. With that said, enjoy the weather and see a hot provider this weekend and let some steam out.
