I was wondering if any of you ladies would accept a coffee date or lunch date in lieu of references.  That way you can screen me your self.  I am new to the hobby and I would like to see women of a higher caliber of woman but everyone is looking for references.

Are you still giving the ladies your personal/work info? It's not hard to find a newbie friendly provider, provided you are giving out correct and factual information to them to verify you with. and I agree with the question, why aren't the providers you've seen in the past willing to give you a reference?

I have only seen one provider in the  past. And most want at least 2 references.

I see new clientele and they always are ok with a deposit before meeting and rest paying in person.

Some of what I'll say has been discussed in the above thread, but most providers do have alternative ways to screen you, if you don't have references. In most cases, you'll have to divulge your real name.  

If you're not comfortable giving that info to a provider, then try p411 and look for providers who specifically advertise as 'Newbie Friendly.'

I offer a private employment screening for new hobbiests or those who do not hobby enough to have valid references. You think they just want to see what you look like and have a conversation with you?  How does that provide any safety?  References are to prove you've seen escorts before and haven't hurt them, robbed them or arrested them.

The alternative to references is usually employment verification.  Men are much less likely to assault someone if there is a chance the police at their workplace to arrest.  It has nothing to do with you seeming reasonable over a coffee date.

That said, many women will be happy to meet you, reference free, for a coffee date, if you pay their normal rate for that hour.  And over that hour, after being paid, maybe they would be convinced enough to see you for a 2nd date that wasn't coffee.

I suspect many women would be willing to meet you for a public, non-play, date at their normal rate, without needing references.  Whether or not that led to future, more standard, dates is unknown.
