Here we go gang....same cast of characters....but this one is for the American League Championship.

Pedro versus the Rocket!

The last one lived up to the hype and then some.

Here's to another great game!

May the classiest performers in this series win the game!

Cheers!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YANKEES!

Three run lead with 5 outs to go. Sound familiar?

At least Pedro was man enough to take blame...Cubs have to blame some fan despite fact that they gave up 17 runs over last 11 innings of series. Steve Bartman wasn't on the 25 man roster. No, it was a psychological meltdown after a play that didn't even result in a base runner.

Deciding factor in Yanks win...better managing and Rivera. Yanks couldn't hit Timlin all series, so why wasn't he in sooner in 8th? Pedro had nothing left.

Extremely disappointing for us BOSOX Fans, but it was a GREAT series.

I am used to my Team actually choking and making errors and such to blow the game.  I don't think they blew it or choked.  They just got beat by team with ... as you said it ... a little better pitching and a LOT better Coaching.

You have to admit this though .... The Sox are getting better and better. ..... The Yankees are not ... they are post peak

I agree, this Sox team was tough, but it sounds like you're
implying that the Sox will soon overtake our Yanks. History
is strongly against that theory. Every time the Sox have lost
a 7 game series (most of which were in pretty dramatic fashion)
they basically go away for 10, 15, or 20 years. It's almost
like these kinds of losses are booster shots for the Curse.
Just look at the years:

1946 - 7 game loss to Cards

1967 - 7 game loss to cards

1975 - 7 game loss to Reds

1986 - 7 game loss to Mets (and believe it or not, me, a life long Yankee fan, was rooting for the Sox in this one!!)

and now, 2003, seven game loss to Yanks in the most dramatic
fashion yet. I don't think the Sox will be seen again until
Jeb Bush is in his second term as President!!

I a Yankee fan and was rooting for the Sox and Cubs. I guess I just a little tired of the Yankees winning all the time. I usually just tune in around the 9th since teams are at their best.
