Any providers out there ever run into a client on the street or at some other random or inopportune setting and discomfort ensues? Or vice versa?

I seem to run into a client once a week or so. Some introduce me as a colleague to there SO, others just text me telling me i look cute in those Yoga pants.  I guess to each there own but i guess a provider must be chameleon even outside of the session.  If you don't want someone to recognize you in your home turf, maybe don't work in it?

One time, I was pressed up against a guy I'd seen a few months prior on the 6 train at rush hour! We shared a brief, knowing glance, but nothing more, and laughed about it later in a more private setting.

Another time someone called my name out on a busy street in New Orleans and I had to pull a disappearing act. I think it goes without saying that this is an incredibly inconsiderate and stupid stunt to pull.

Any other time, we've just passed each other on the street and kept walking. It wasn't uncomfortable.

New York is smaller than you'd think.

I met a provider last summer. Had no idea her incall was in the neighborhood next to mine.

Guess who's son was in my son's homeroom at school that fall? We see each other around the school all the time (but no more BCD) now, and it has become perfectly normal. That first time was quite awkward, though, until we managed to "introduce" ourselves to one another IRL.

I have bumped into a client a few times and never had an issue. Once I saw a client at the market we just walked past each other without saying a word. Another time I was at a baseball game and a client started waving at me and I waved back and that was that. I would never walk up to a client and start chatting with them but I have found nothing wrong with a smile.

New York is a big city, and many clients I see are out of town and I travel often as well. So chances are so slim to meet somebody.
