Tiffany from www.newyorkebony.com was found murdered in her apartment on E. 60th St. If you don't remember who she was her photo was in Fridays post. She was Nigerian, very pretty, and was 19 years old.

Please ladies verify ALL of your clients and be safe.

OMG .... Alexis, and all the NY ladies, I am so sorry. I've heard nothing but good about Tiffany. I hope they catch whoever did this - and lock him away for a long, long time. This may not be seen as an honorable profession, but that is no excuse for violence of ANY kind.

I pray she's in a better place ... and that all of you will be careful and heal well.

Casey of Chicago

I heard about this on the news.  I didn't know who it was until now.  My condolences to her family.  Be careful out there!

Tiffany (wetone) is OK.

I am so sad to hear this. I went to her website and it has already been taken down, along with almost all of the other ads that she had.

It would seem the devil she knew, rather than the devil she did not know, was the colprit. But still please be carefull out there.

June 20, 2003 -- Cops yesterday were hunting for the killer of a pretty 19-year-old Nigerian woman found savagely stabbed to death in her Upper East Side apartment, as new details emerged about the victim.
Ifeyinwa Ikechukwu, who was found dead at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in her fourth-floor apartment at 60th Street and First Avenue, allegedly worked as an escort, and advertised her services in newspapers, including the Village Voice, police sources said.

The voluptuous victim, who worked under the name "Tiffany," also advertised on an adult Web site, the sources said.

But Ikechukwu - stabbed repeatedly in the chest and throat - was "trying to go legit" and become a model or an actress, a source said.

Several private modeling photographs were found in the $2,000-a-month apartment, which had been ransacked.

Police have already talked to the man who reported her missing, but he's not a suspect, they said.

Ikechukwu, who moved to the city about a month ago, was last seen Saturday night by her doorman at the Bridge Suite Apartments, cops said.

The victim, who emigrated to the United States in 1994, "had vicious fights with her boyfriend at all hours of the night," according to a neighbor.

"It was just very violent," said the woman, who asked not to be identified.

"He would always degrade her."

that is the most terrible news I have read in a very long time.

It seems there is some confusion about which lady this was.  It appears that Ifeyinwa Ikechukwu is not who we know as Tiffany the Wet One.

From posts on another board:

"Not Tiffany Wet One!!!

Tiffany Wet One told me about this girl the other day. It wasn't her. She had IMed me about it on AOL when I got home on Thursday night. So she's ok unless someone else has been using her computer. I don't know why her website is down though."

"Wrong one. Tiff-WO is orginally from Brooklyn. The murdered lady also used d/b/a Tiffany but as noted above was Nigerian. She had ads on CV,ERos,and NYE."

Rest in peace, Ifeyinwa.

There was a photo of Tiffany in the New York post, there is a link below to an ad of the same girl named Tiffany. It lists her website as www.newyorkebony.com. On TBD when you search Tiffany in New York you get one Tiffany and two Tiffany Wet Ones. In both reviews her web address is listed as www.newyorkebony.com. Now I'm really confused cause just about every ad, not just her site have been removed.

Here's my guess as to what happened.  NYPost article was written by three guys.  One of them probably knows a little bit about the hobby.  Somebody heard "black, escort, Tiffany, expensive neighborhood" and drew their own conclusion.  Probably ran the picture based on that assumption.  That led to a domino effect.  Web server owner and advertisers probably heard "dead, prostitute, advertised on the web, saw the picture" and dumped her ads and site.  Everyone gets nervous and bails just to cover their ass. After all, remember how those Florida investigations trickled UP the chain and got the TBD owner.  I know I'm no one and this is my own wacked theory, but it makes sense.

One more thought though, I would hope this is not newyorkebony.com Tiffany since she has reviews as an indy here, on JAG and TBD dating back as early as March 2001 and several mentions that she worked PIT before going indy.  The girl that died was 19.  Do the math

whichever lady this was, the tragedy is beyond words. Is there any way one can help or aid the family? It just points up the insanity of this country's laws. If it's NYEBONY, she was well loved.

If I remember correctly from her website, newyorkebony, Tiffany was based out of Long Island and also lived in Miami and there.  Never saw anything about Manhattan, but at the same time, the area code for her reviews is 646 and the location is West Village. Well, maybe you New Yorkers can shed some light as to where exactly that is in correlation to 60th St and 1st Ave.  I could have swore she stated her age as in the 20's from her website and there's at least one review I read that said she was much older than the 19 as stated in the article.  I do tend to recall an ebony girl named Tiffany on cityvibe, but am not 100% certain of that.

Ifeyinwa Ikechukwu (may she rest in peace) is not Tiffany Wet One.  The Post published a picture of the wrong Tiffany.  There was more than one ebony lady named Tiffany on Eros Guide, and they didn't verify the photo before publishing it.  I sent them an e-mail to point out their error.  I hope they verify the information, and post a correction.

Tiffany Wet One has received much unwanted attention as a result of this, and understandably, has taken down her website and mall ads.

Can you contact her to ask her to come and dispel the rumours?

I am so sorry to hear about Tiffany.  19 years old,  she was just a kid.

A friend of mine was also murdered back in April.  She only took in regulars.  A stranger got in anyway.  Another girl I know was cut up really bad last winter.  Thank God she fought for her life and survived the attack.

We must all be very careful.  Use referrences and screen your appointments.  Carry mace or anything that can protect you.  Im not trying to scare anyone,  but we all know how dangerous this job really is.

So if you guys think we ask too many questions,  Im sure you can now understand why.

                       Sincerely,  Alyssa

the tiffany in question (the one the post used in its picture) is the tiffany still to be seen on the parisintown.com website.
same age given (19), exact same picture.

Did anyone notice the article which seemed to implicate her boyfriend (ie not some stranger) saying that they used to have "vicious" arguments.
