It helps if you share which neighborhood in the city you want to be.
But, if you are willing to Uber and go somewhere with good brunch, here are my suggestions:

* Russ & Daughters Cafe (LES):
not the deli but the cafe on Orchard Street. If freshly made bagels/bialis with smoked salmon and fabulous cream cheese is your thing, you need to try them:

* Lupulo (Chelsea):
a portuguese restaurant offering weekend brunches:

* Riposo (Hell's Kitchen):
a small, hole in the wall kind of place on 9th avenue....a favorite brunch spot just around the corner from my incall. Not expensive and with greal food! Just make sure to arrive before they open on weekends so you can get a table. This place is also a favorite for local residents :)

Thanks Betty.

That's the local flavor shining through for your recommendations.  You probably won't find those recommendations on any of the published top ten lists, but that's the best part!  They come form your local knowledge.

Thanks again.

I love brunch and will definitely be checking out Riposo's when I arrive to NYC this week.

Great thread! Keep the suggestions coming!
