Does anyone know anything else about the RI law loophole closing?

I read it was about to change but haven't heard anything else since then.
Did they approve the new law or not?
It will take long until we know...?

The House passed it, now it's headed to the Senate.

Once they vote, it then goes to the governor to be signed into law.

A week or two away at most.

The senate has killed bills before that passed with a majority house vote (e-verify) etc..

It's not a done deal yet

There is a major push to get this passed.  Ministers standing up in church asking everyone to call their Senators.
LE basically didn't try to enforce the anti-trafficking law passed last year...  because this is what they really wanted.
My wife called our state rep...  one of the few voted against it...  because he felt it was not going to "help" the ladies by criminalizing it.  She's not in favor of it but was more tolerant than I expected having seen the special on the Bunny Ranch...  good money for part time work.

I don't see how politicians can withstand this amount of pressure.  Sadly, I expect it to pass.
