Alana, you are absolutely correct. Not only would I not see a provider with reviews or references, but I would be uncomfortable if she did NOT ask me for the references she requires to feel comfortable. Safety all around is necessary and anyone not willing to provide reference might consider another hobby.

It's just as fustrating for me as a hobbyist.

I fill out the forms, list my references, and either never hear back from the ladies or hear back days later saying " I'm booked now"

I ask the ladies I use as references if the provider ever got in touch with them and I'm told "no".

It's fustrating filling out a form giving all my info to someone and never have the lady follow through.

I understand your concerns. For me I just send along to the provider several refs and leave it at that. You are not out of line. I agree though when gentlemen fill out the forms etc., and dont get a response that too is difficult.

Its all about respect on both ends.

You will always get many requests from guys who won't give references, because there are a number of other providers who don't require them (even tho they post that they do).  CL is a classic example of this, to use an extreme example.

To save time many providers don't even finish reading a meeting request intro if is lack key info, and post that requirement on their webpage.

I use DateCheck and TER Whitelist, and that has been great ... but be ware of DZ400 - you would be surprised how many guys have wound up on that list simply because a provider didn't like the review that was written.   Of course if several providers report the offender, than that is a different situation.

If a guy really wants to see you, he will usually give you the info you require (except employment into).

Frustrated, yes...Baffled, no...

This is a great board for hobbyists to explore potential providers on an ANONYMOUS basis.  As such, they can pick a number of well reviewed providers who say they have a detailed verification process but (as previously mentioned) many will take a HUGE risk and use the standard two call system.

It doesn't seem fair, but most hobbyists feel they have more to lose if their personal information is somehow leaked or compromised (i.e. Client #9), not to mention they are paying for the companionship.

You have chosen a somewhat "risky business" especially with the stepped up LE activity and occasional kooky hobbyist.  You have some great reviews and appear to be a cut above. You are smart to play it safe.  Even if it means dealing with some frustration and a few less dates!  Just one man's opinion.

I'm new to the hobby and have found the same frustration from the other side. Although I have met a wonderful independent I feal awkward using her as a reference again and again to try to meet other providers. She's been totally awesome about this but I feel bad about using her again. I'm considering a service like preferred 411 or date check and was wondering if you as a provider had a preference of one over the other.

While us boys may want to know something about the girls we are going to visit, we aren't asking you to give your home phone number or employer information -- information that could allow us to be tracked down months or even years later!!

If I were single, I might risk it. But I'm not.

I do use date-check and it is unfortunate that so few girls use it also.

I appreciate a ladies' need to screen -- many girls find some level of assurance by checking out guys via their online personnas.

Someone like myself who has reviews here stretching over a couple of years has some level of credibility as a harmless fellow.
