I must admit, I have no clue about any states on the west coast. (I just recently ventured that way for the first time last month!) Does anyone have any recommendations for food/fun/hotel ares to stay in St. Louis? Any help is appreciated!

Especially in the "fun" category.

I'd recommend staying around downtown or near Forest Park. The restaurant at the top of the Millennium Hotel revolves, which is sorta touristy but I hear the food is good :)

Definitely stay out Maryland Heights/Westport area. If you need some suggestions on locations or have questions about a hotel feel free to PM me.

Stay out of Maryland Heights and "Westport" which has great hotels but is still part of Maryland Heights and is a known LE "hot" area.   Wherever you stay make sure you screen well.

For fun you might enjoy the St. Louis Zoo.   I'm sure others could chime in with recommendations for good food.

Anything on Washington Ave downtown is great.  Everything downtown is within walking distance.

Washington Avenue is an excellent choice...Beautiful Hotels, excellent Dining options and plenty of Entertainment to enjoy...Sports, Music, Carriages, Zoo....and great for an evening stroll and simply enjoy some "people watching"! GOOD LUCK & ENJOY!
