Sully here-  I just wanted to give a shout out to all you T-Wolves fans. That is a good team you have there, and if T-hud and Cassell played- who knows?  Keep being fans and they will pay off-

I am not rubbing it in- there is nothing to rub in- just a great series.  The lakers managed to win, but could have easily been eliminated if a few things bounced the other way. And we needed strong play from supporting cast members to get the ws.

And at least your guys play hard all the time.  You got our best hustle player and used him effectively- even getting quality minutes from Olawakandi (sp?)!  We miss seeing a team compete every play-  nice to see your team doing it!

I am a T-Wolves /Garnett fan now...

Maybe next year, if Hudson and Cassell are healthy and we get some productive minutes out of a center. It was a great series. Shaq is the most dominant big man since Wilt and Kobe is the best 1-on-1 player since MJ. The Lakers will be NBA champs this year, the Wolves were the last hurdle (with apologies to Piston and Pacer fans).

thanks sully. nice to see a true fan showing respect when it is deserved. kudos to you my man. the thing about success is now we will want it every year.  rematch may 2005?  tell karl he has to stay win or lose. the scoring record is his if he wants it next season?  go show pistons/pacers  wich conference rules the nba.

Thanks buddy.  You are a consumate sports fan and respect the game more than the trash that often clutters the beauty of the sport.

I went to all the home games at the Target Center and have been a season ticket holder since the beginning of time.  It's nice to see the lads get to the Conference Finals, they worked hard and hopefully we'll see you in the Finals again next year with a different outcome ;-)

Good luck playing against those Eastern Conference stiffs.  I'm sorry but I still can't stand up and cheer for the Lakers squad you have on the floor this year....but I will stand up and cheer for Sully.

Get your boys healthy-  and maybe we can get a better series next year with a Laker team I can love!  This year, I loved your team's style and moxie- and cheered for my bored/whiny Lakers.  Waah! I want a team that deserves my love...

I freely admit I did not think going into this series that the Timberwolves would pose much of a challenge for the Lakers.  I felt that after beating San Antonio that the Lakers would cruise to the title and along the way dispose of Minnesota in probably five games.  After having watched Minnesota, my opinion of them has risen considerably.  They played and fought hard all the way and made LA work really hard to earn the conference title.  They really look like team on the verge of being a champion.  I do think they need a better center though; despite his poor free throw shooting, depending on the hack-a-shaq to beat the Lakers just doesn't work.

P.S. - I am confident LA will beat Detroit but I doubt it will be the cakewalk a lot of people seem to think it will be.
