Ease or difficulty crossing over by foot...
I'm planning on going over to TJ this coming week (on a weekday). Last time I crossed over was a year ago. It was a real PITA as I am partially disabled. In fact, if I had known how difficult it was (a long walk and a number of up and down slopes carrying one bag), I wouldn't have gone. Does anyone remember how it was last November and if so, can you tell me if it is physically easier or more challenging now? TIA!!
In your case, I would say it's become more challenging.
The path along the US side has remained the same since last year. However, just a few months ago, Mexico added an immigration check just past the turnstiles in MX. Now, once you exit the new immigration building, you're required to walk a little further (maybe an extra 1/10 of a mile). The new path is relatively flat, but the increased distance may be an issue for you. I hope this helps.Go over by foot, you can take a cab over from the border for $5
Hi Burt, do you know any way to get a ride across the boarder from SD to TJ. Don't want my passport getting stamped while I wait for my crossing card
That does not answer his question.
