Recently, on another website there has been quite a discussion about the current enforcement of fichas upon the chicas at Adelitas.
If you have never been there, each time a chica gets a drink bought ($7) for her, she receives two ficha tickets. The chicas are required to turn in 20 fichas each day or else they have to buy the fichas themselves. Since the fichas are split between the chica and the house, this means that if they do not collect any fichas at all, they will owe the house $35 for the priviledge of working there.
This is not a new rule but it is being enforced to a much greater degree than any of us remember in the past. Of course, high volume superstars, like Candie, are probably not hassled regarding this because this amounts to pocket change for them.
The point of this thread is just to inform everyone to expect to be hit up more than usual by chicas trying to get you to buy them a drink. But don't worry, they will leave as soon as you tell them you are not interested. It does seem to make the chicas migrate and mingle a little bit more which never hurts either.
It seems that there is lots of new talent in Adelitas once again so maybe this ficha enforcement is actually working to our advantage.

I was at AB last night and didn't notice any increased interest in acquiring more fichas. Most of the women stood around waiting for guys to come up to them. No change that I could see. The same older, and heavier, women approached, asking me to buy them drinks. But, that has always been the case. I have always been amazed that the ladies don't circulate more. You'll see them standing in the same spot for an hour or more. Except for the platinum girls, the ladies who circulate (whether they are ones or tens) always seem to make more trips upstairs. 10 drinks in 8 hours sounds like a lot. But, $35/day doesn't sound so bad. Even if she only does 2 guys a day, that's at least $100. Netting her at least $65/ day. Not bad wages for Mexico. And, she can, of course, make quite a bit more.
We have been investigating this matter to death on two other boards. The current consensus is that the 20 ficha minimum applies only if a chica wants to leave before her 10 hour shift ends. If she works her 10 hours no fees are required.
Please consider the 20 or so third tier chicas in the back two rows. Anyone ever see them earn a ficha?
