Hi, bill here and newly retired. I am in a rural part of the USA and have always had to travel for the hobby. I just retired and as a present to myself I would like to throw a M&G. NJ/NY, FL, CHARLOTTE, CALIFORNIA .... I could use some help if possible. I can do the funds of course.
We use to have great ones in Atl, Orlando, FLL and of course my last one April 1998. But no ones putting em on. I always HATED the Mon to Thurs and heard all the blustering about exes with kids and having to be home on weekends, when single like me had to work 8-5Mon to Friday and could NEVER do anything except weekends. I now have the time. Open to putting one on maybe a motel conference room with hotel bar ? I could cater. Just a idea. If ya prefer PM me or chime in and see where I could do this best ??? or post for ideas.We used to have two a year, one in Orlando and one in Tampa. They were well attended, expertly run and a lot of fun. Then the pandemic hit and there was a pause. We finally had another one a couple years ago run by the same person but it wasn't well attended. I guess the times are different now. I miss them and would love to see them active again but without enough people to make is financially feasible it doesn't make sense.

What would ya say if we gave it a try, I think there are more flights to Orlando from hard to get places in the US.
If I were to start this and say even offer paid scholarship to some of the girls for airfare and 1 nights hotel. AND pay for a hotel/Motel meeting room ( which was where the previous Orlando one was held. I think we could get something off the ground. If the bill got to steep I would have to cut it off. I would try my best ????

its advance notice and planning... and its making of a social evening ( MEET AND GREET )
its a disc jockey and a boom box, hot food to take the place of a evening meal for those traveling. And the motel meeting room maybe having a inexpensiveness and wine drinks for sale.
Also, I could be convinced to do Vegas and especially Atlanta !!
No scholarships however to Vegas ( LOL) !~
Currently in the planning stages and will be advertising as soon as the venue is secured!
