A provider told me about a new mystery novel about an escort who investigates the death of one of her clients. It takes place in the DMV, mostly around Tysons, and people on this discussion board likely would recognize some locations. It's an amusing read and well researched. The author clearly had help from some providers as a lot of it rings true.

I see now there's an endorsement by Veronica Monet, who wrote Sex Secrets of Escorts, the bible on how to be a high-end sex worker: “Most of the inner dialogue of our Naked Detective is entirely relatable to me personally. I hear my own reflections in some of her reflections and those thoughts and feelings that I don't relate to are easily attributed to the many sex workers I have been friends with over the years. In short, Glendall gets us sex workers and former sex workers….The protagonist comes across as the real deal!”

This mystery novel about an escort is really racking in the book awards -- the Best Indie Book Award (BIBA), Paris Book Festival, BookFest Awards, FireBird Book Award -- and been a runner-up and finalist in other contests. It also was named a top 100 Indie Book of 2023. It's thrilling to see such an accurate depiction of the sex-work world -- and relations between escorts and clients -- win such recognition. Many of the reviews says the novel gave them a new appreciation and insight about the business.
