Some of Maryland is DC and I think it leads to confusion amongst posters. You have people posting southern md & college park which would be DC related.

...but I get what you're saying. When I tell people that I'm from Maryland, they always assume Baltimore, so I just say I'm from "the DC area".

I think it wouldn't hurt to have separate Baltimore and DC Metro boards. To me, the DC Metro is MoCo, PG, and NOVA.

I doubt if it's that confusing. I see plenty of eastern shore posts on this board, why not call it the Ocean City board?

 
I'm from the 410 and DC runs it like a tristate hence the term DMV.  

B-more is just B-more even though I think it's md. My experiences is people think DC area when you tell them ya from MD instead of B-more area.

Ocean city ain't a major city.  

They don't have a PA board...they just go Pittsburgh and Philly

is it that odd that two fairly large cities that are 305 miles apart (50 miles more than the width of Maryland, BTW), such as Pittsburgh and Philly, have their own boards

The Maryland board doesn't appear to see that many visitors as is.

if Pittsburgh is a major city so is B-more. If Cincinnati is a major city so is B-more.  if b-more ain't major why is the traffic during rush hour the same as DC, lol.  

 
The Ravens and Orioles don't play in Ocean City, haha. B-more is a major east coast city no matter how you want to slice and dice it. 695 ain't full of visitors going around the beltway...there is a solid population of people in the area.
