I've been reading a lot post about my area, I'm seeing that some people have been busted. Does anyone have any advise on how not to get busted and remain safe?

So that history will not repeat itself. Also get situational awareness. Never be so arrogant to think that you won't get caught. Learn how to use search engines i.e google. Keep up on press release etc. Sometimes warnings are blatant and people are so stupid to be caught as we recently found out in Baltimore County and Montgomery County (tonight) in the news.

If the fuzz really wants to nab you, they will nab you. You van go through screening and still get busted. Just keep a low profile and get a lawyer if questioned about anything.
