I totally agree and hate when my assistant is referred to as a "booker" since she's my savior and more like a best friend. She is the best influence and most lovely person I have ever met! :))

I was recently told that some ladies don't like reviews using the word booker because it's kinda like saying pimp. So ladies cultivating an image prefer the term assistant. Ladies any thoughts?

The girl may not know much about you till she sees you. There isn't that connection, albeit small. You don't communicate to the girl till about a few hours before you meet. In the Asian world, there isn't any connection till she ask you to remove your shoes when you walk in....I don't like to see or hear the word "Booker", but I get it, some girls don't have the time or the organizational skills to screen.

Purely from a linguistic point of you, booker sounds some what vulgar. I find the term assistant much more agreeable. But that is just my take on this

Hi There

In US it a good thing to have. Since its process to secure bookings.

... since most assistants do far more than just book. Most assistants help with marketing/advertising, communications, verification, consulting, etc. Scheduling or "booking" is just one of the many services performed by most assistants. With the ladies I work with, our relationship a partnership. We work together. Just as every CEO has a right hand assistant, so do several ladies. I urge ladies to focus on their personal lives (school, children, other careers) while an assistant will safely conduct the day to day operations of the business. Each relationship is different though. Interesting topic of course, thanks for bringing it up.

How someone else can book for us, or correspond.  I think that a lot of my personality shows up in the initial back and forth- the banter that ensues, and you know you are going to like my personality.  I've never understood how someone else can do that for us?

When I look at certain ads, I feel like that girl might be very fun, another a bit snooty. I'd think her responses to your inquiry would tell a lot?  Just my thoughts.  I"d love to hear some of the gents opinions on that.
