Been out of the hobby for a while but seems like everyone is now asking for a deposit on cash app?  is this legit?  doesn't seem great to have any sort of paper trail, considering the legality of the situation.  Are people really putting deposits down?

I personally would never do it. But if you want to find out more about deposits do a search on the General Discussion Board. It's been bought up on many occasion. There you'll get a better ideal.

I have required a deposit to book, since 2010 because I am a single Super Mamacita & head of my household. Yes it is safe. I have many deposit options. I have never had any issues. If I have to cancel I will refund. If life happens & you have to cancel I will refund as long as I did not have to travel, or pay for a hotel with proper notice. I am honest, trustworthy & reputable. I do not recommend sending money to someone who is not highly reviewed here on TER. Do your research. All providers are not the same. I have integrity.

I’ve never paid a deposit and I never will. That said, a lot of gents do pay deposits and it usually turns out well, until it doesn’t and he becomes the laughing stock of one of these Discussion Boards. Most providers don’t require deposits, but if the one you want to see does you’ll have to make a tough decision.

About the only time I have paid a deposit was if the lady was on P411.  I feel I can trust them a bit more and I have some recourse if they flake.  But it really depends on the lady's reputation too.  I did do a deposit once with someone not on P411 and it worked out fine,  But she had a good track record.  So it does depend, for example someone like QueenBia I would probably be okay with paying a deposit to even if she wasn't on P411.  But in general I would rather not and if the lady was only on a nonreview site with no good track record, I would not even consider it.

I don't mind if a lady has built a good reputation. If she is well reviewed, and has a fair enough quantity of reviews on TER, I kind of get it. A deposit makes your appointment with her more serious and decreases the chances of you cancelling. For a well reviewed lady, she will get more requests than she can fullfill. If you cancel last minute with no recourse, she loses money. This is especially true if she is touring and has invested the additional travel expenses. And even for those who are local, they will do beauty prep that costs time and money for you. I have never had any issues sending a deposit to an established lady. I have had situation where they had to cancel, and I got my deposit back immidiately. No lady with a good repuation wants to risk their good name for the measely deposit you are sending them.

That said, if she has no verifiable repuation, she is out of her bleeping mind if she thinks I will send her a deposit. Trust is earned, not just given willy nilly. Any lady should understand there are scammers out there, and if given no reason to trust them, then heck I should not.

paid a deposit is when booking more than three hours, or if the lady is paying for the hotel room.  Otherwise, if a deposit is demanded, I will simply draw a line through her name and got to the next name on my list.

I posted this on the general board, but think of it from the girls perspective if they get a hotel for incall or Uber for outcall, and the guy cancels. Deposit also shows you are serious. I don't necessarily like the idea of deposits but I understand and have paid for reputable girls.

So, u are saying that someone who doesn't put a deposit down is not serious?  I call that BS.  I am one of the earliest members of TER.  Have seen ladies since 1998 (albeit I only see 1 now).  I have never given a deposit to any lady.  No matter how reputable they are.  I have known many gents to provided up to a 4K deposit for "reputable" ladies and the ladies cancelled.  What about gents who provide a deposit, book a hotel room, and the lady cancels?  Should the gent get the cost of the hotel room as well as the deposit back?  I have known Queen B and Jezebel for awhile.  And if it works for them, fine.  I have no problem with that.  But to say gents are serious because they won't put a deposit down?  Come on.

I don’t think anyone is saying that not giving a deposit means someone isn’t serious. Of course some are serious. But you might be surprised by how many dipheads contact these ladies. Their information is posted for the masses, not yours as the client. You get to choose who you contact. You can even do your homework first to make sure you’re not getting some hack. The best they can do is check references, employment info, or something similar, all which isn’t hard to fake. They get the one word guys - “hey”, “hi”, “sup”, “yo”, they get the question guys, they get book an appointment and ghost guys, and so much more crap. The deposit is to try to cut this trash down. For a popular lady, I cannot be mad, especially knowing what they deal with. And you, nor anyone else, needs to book them if you don’t like it. That does not mean you’re not serious. But the dipheads who are not may not be worth hopping for guys like you.

The man said and I quote.  "Deposits shows you are serious".  Thats why I said what I said.  Believe me, ladies ghost guys for a better appt (ie more money).  It happens all the time.  Again, if someone wants to give a deposit for a lady, have ad it. Its the ladies business and if that works for her, great.  I have been in this business 25 years.  I know what the heck is going on.  I think in 25 years, I have maybe cancelled 5 appts.  On the other hand, I have had probably 150-200 cancellations from verious ladies.  It happens and I get it. Your last statement, I have no idea what u meant by the statement of guys like me.

I know what he wrote. It's not wrong. Deposits do show that you are. But come on man, you really think that implies no deposit always means you are not? It's a numbers game. Very rarely will someone front money and not be serious. No deposit, that possibility jumps up. And sorry you have had that level of bad luck. 150-200 cancelations holly shite. I've had just one. And it was with deposit, and she refunded. And the guys like you comment was simply going off what you stated. Guys who wouldn't willy nilly ghost or cancel. I get it, you're a good client to the ladies is all I am saying. But many are not.

You have reviews.  I'd be comfortable with a deposit with you and your sister.  But not a random new provider

Thanks for the backup.

To answer the accusation, of course you can be serious client if you don't do deposits. But if you do deposit you are 100% serious. Don't be that person that thinks because someone says they love oranges that they must hate apples.

I have hardly done 'deposits' either. I don't like this BS of how deposits were supposedly common or the norm ten years ago or during the days of TER in the mid 00's. They weren't.

My way of doing a deposit in the past, would be to offer to book and pay for the hotel room for a provider who at the time didn't have an incall , and if I trusted her. So I'm basically paying for the 'outcall' cost on my own. Yes a few times the lady "had to" "cancel" so I'm stuck in the room for the night having paid the 'deposit' to myself.

And there are many ladies who will ghost a serious client (ie, take their deposit for whatever reason.  The reason I have heard most it can be applied next time I tour your city.  Which sometimes never comes).  I have seen it happen as I have mentioned before.  Look, if anyone wants to see a lady who requires a deposit, then do it.  I don't say it's wrong.  I do want to say this.  What happens to the guy who is married, wants to see a lady who is outcall only, books a room, pays for it, and then the lady cancels?  How is he made whole?

Look we all know cancelations happen, and this is no matter how reputable a lady is. Things happen. You could either book the hotel at the very last minute or make sure it's refundable. Or, don't book a lady who requires a hotel be booked by you the clinet. While I have no issue with deposits, I have an issue with me being the one who has to book the hotel. I see that as part of what I am paying to get. A reputable lady will refund you a deposit. She will not pay for lost hotel expenses. That's 100% your risk.

There is always a risk in this business.  The ladies are trying to mitigate that risk by asking for a deposit.  And I get that.  Anyway, we beat this one to death.  LOL.

Of course providers can ASK for deposits. They also ask you to send them a selfi holding a government issued ID. They sure can ask for it but I rather use my hand than send deposits or pictures of me holding a government issued ID. They have their policy and you have yours. Or, you are so desperate that you will comply .

I do charge  deposit when the client does not have  recently reviews or references. Anyone that has been in this game for some time will have a reference, if you took a break from it and are getting back and does not have references then a small deposit will not hurt, deposit is in certain way a safety for us, not only because of NO shows,  but because it is usually linked with some personal info, like cash app with your bank account or credit card, people that wants to take advantage or harm  a provider will never send a deposit, most of the time that clients lose money with deposit is usually with fake accounts, as providers we receive emails on a daily bases, scammers trying very hard to get our profiles, and once they get it,   you might be sending a deposit to that person, thinking it is a provider. I always suggest you to do your own research, look in how many websites she is advertising, read reviews, look if she has social media actively. Safety is my priority and should be yours as well.
