I'm starting out and I've corresponded with a few providers, but I was wondering if you have suggestions for someone who would accommodate a newbie? Who should I keep an eye out for?

Get verified by P411 (preferred 411).  The providers will generally list if they are Newbie friendly.
Also, check the ad boards here on TER as some providers say they are newbie friendly.

This great lady is newbie friendly.

I saw DeLaine the first time out... I was very nervous but she was absolutely great.  She gave me lots of tips about keeping myself safe, etc.... and the bedroom time was fantastic.  I've already repeated with her.  Welcome and good luck.

She's an absolutely wonderful person, very easy to be around and will make you feel comfortable and, of course, her skills are admirable.
