If you wanted in depth CRIMINAL background checks, only law enforcement can do such in depth background checks that you are looking for.

Regarding these blacklist / verification websites... Can you imagine that if you did a sex offender background check on John ____ (insert name) and how many of those would come up? Can you RELY on those reports? Can you TRUST the reports?

The only reliable website for sex offenders is the FBI National Sex Offender Registry and the link is shown below. You can go to that website and select the state that you want to check the name on and you will be given the information for...

... FREE!!

Of course you must have that person's REAL name, not their handles or aliases.

Why WASTE your hard earned money on these websites, when you can get the info for free?

Hobbyists can benefit from this as well since we don't always know who we are dealing with!

Depending on your state, you can do a criminal background check for free. Here in WI, all you need is the person's name, & it will return everything from speeding tickets, to misdemeanors, & even cases that were dismissed will come up.

As for sex offenders, WI also has a site, where you can enter the persons name, address, or even street name, & anyone who is registered on that particular street or address will come up.

Are you a list somewhere?  Criminal records ARE a matter of public record and can be searched in almost every state 'For a Fee'.  Obviously, you can't see what someone may have been charged with, only convictions.  But as they say "innocent until proven".  The national sex offender registry that you mention links to each individual state and those are free to search, generally by name or address.  And, yes a REAL name is required and if you don't want to provide it the verification can't happen, and you probably won't see that provider.  Yes, with the right information these sites can and do check criminal records.  As a business owner, I subscribe to a similar service for background and criminal record checks on prospective employees and see everything from traffic tickets to any more serious offenses, they even provide credit checks.  It is far easier than checking dozens of sites for records and paying separate fees each time.  These type of checks are performed daily by employers, financial instutitions, education institutions, and more.  It makes perfect sense to me for a provider who may move from city to city, or even state to state, to subscribe to one service that has access to all states criminal records for one flat fee (kind of like subscribing to TER to check out providers, huh).    The "blacklist" as you call it is part of the service for providers, and if you act like a jerk you deserve to be on one.  These ladies have a right to protect themselves just like we do.  Now if you use a handle or alias, obviously the criminal record check won't work, but if you were rude or abusive or otherwise out of line, then that might be reported under that name that you use.  It is in essence no different than hobbyist's writing reviews.  Some are good and some are not good, some sound like paid advertisements, and some sound vindictive, but most are fair and therein lies the value.  Other than the obvious criminal record poping up, interpreting the other data requires reason and prestective, whether you are a provider or a hobbyist.  We are all in this together and should be focused on keeping both sides safe!  Right?

Are you seriously suggesting that those blacklist websites are to be 100% trusted by the providers to "typically" screen their potential clients?

If anyone (male or female) has their REAL name plastered on those blacklist websites, there is very little recourse for the person affected EVEN if the information is proven FALSE.

That's why those blacklist websites aren't to be trusted by ANYONE for the express purpose of screening clients.

The SMART way is that the provider go to the FBI National Sex Offender website do to her screening and it's FREE! Why pay someone else to do the same thing?

 Yes, a man in Sioux Falls, SD hired a private detective to follow his provider around to make sure she was "legit"...   He recently contacted me about spending time together, yet gave me a different name, same phone number..  She and I work together sharing information to keep us both safe.  He owns a business in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  I never met with him in fear he would do the same to me or put a tracking device on my car.  Which he possibly did to her because he knew exactly when and where she had been at all hours of the day, for many months this went on.  He had also been stalking her at night, following her to stores and to outcalls, in different cars..   She did not put him on the National Blacklist.  I will however share his information here on TER for other Ladies that "may" check references up here.

Some of us get access to even more thorough background check databases.

For the most part I rely on past behavior with other ladies & the rest of their hobbying history.Therefore I prefer BL sites.  I don't care about a real name nor care to l know their home address or anything else that's just too much info to be out there either. I expect the same respect. Xo V.

Frackie I agree with 100 percent. I knew nothing about the escort business and I checked one site and the Lady had a link to her  website. There was a lot of good information that I had never heard of before and
she would see men who had references or had been verified and provide her with screening information. I did some research and over a 4 month period of time I got verified and then gave her to information she requested. Finally everything was good and we met. I agree it is best for both party's involved. I will only contact women who are verified with that site, has good reviews and references. I have talked to some men I work with and they have been burnt in the past and now are reluctant to pay money and give personal information to get verified. Even tho I tell them it is legit and the only safe way to go. They are still wary. The information is out there but is like finding a needle in a haystack and can take some time to learn the process. But for me now it is the only way to go. I work out of town. 7 days a week 10 - 12 hours per day. I also need to keep it UTR Therefore this works the best for me.
