Has anyone any knowledge of a case where a busted agency resulted in their email records being used against johns to charge solicitation? Even if those communications never mentioned fees?

politician a number of years ago.  I forget his name but he was a big shot in the Justice Dept. for investigating Wall Street shenanigans and was going to go for a higher office until all this hit the press.

He wasn't even indicted but considered a person of interest in the whole affair.  I think it cost him his marriage too if I recall.

There was also a big affair up in Maine with one of these ersatz yoga places that had all the local big-shots quaking in their boots during the whole affair.

It seems to happen at least once every couple of years.

It's a concern if you use agencies, that's for sure.

what if you never even met a lady, or paid (or agreed to pay) anything? Just verified and a couple of emails looking for a day / time that didn't pan out. I'm guessing clients with record of payment, particularly credit card payments, would be a better target for LE?

You can google Randal Tobias and see where he was ensnared in the downfall of an escort service in DC. Said he only received a "massage" from the agency. He was also an anti-prostitution guy. You can read about it if you like.

He was found out by a newspaper that was tracing phone numbers in the aftermath of the bust. Resigned shortly afterwards.

For the op, I would be more concerned about one of those "outing Johns sites" then uncle Leo.

If so, he was by then Governor and had to resign.  The idiot had given the agency his credit card.  The Maine affair was with a Roomba instructor who was entertaining clients in her studio and filming them without their knowledge.

I think they were highlighted for political reasons. BTW Spitzer was never charged! Even though it was proven he moved big $ to the agency
