Let's say you were thinking of hiring an escort to accompany you on a trip abroad.  Rather than pay her for the trip, you decide to change your plans  fly an escort from another country to American for a rendezvous.  Hard to believe LE would be tracking ads you look at from a foreign country.  Is this safer - or if you get caught somehow would it be an even bigger deal?

is exactly covered in any specific federal law, but even if it is, as long the gal gets the proper visa and all, I don't see how you or she could run afoul of the authorities, as long as you know that this gal is on the up and up, which is to say that she has good reviews, etc.

It may be more risky to have a gal cross state lines (The Mann Act and all that jazz.) to come see you, and I do that all the time.

Many more important things to consider than that.

(Still not a lawyer)

but with proper visas...  who would know?   It's a lot more expensive & I don't see the gain.

Or are you thinking about flying in a woman that you have never met and only know from an ad?

If it's the former, I can't really see any problems with it from a "will this land me in jail?" standpoint. It could still be considered "human trafficking, but someone would have to tip off the authorities and you could always claim she was your GF.

Now if you are thinking about the latter possibility, and after rereading your post it certainly appears that way NO NO NO!!!! Don't even think about doing this, besides the obvious risk that you and her won't even have any "chemistry" and you are committed to a long term date sight unseen. The other, very real risk of being arrested and prosecuted for international human trafficking outweighs any potential benefit you might see in this arrangement. You have taken a simple misdemeanor, punishable by a simple slap on the wrist and turned it into a potential federal felony, punishable by decades in prison. DON'T DO IT!!!

Thanks for the input.  Upon of the advice of this board, I'm walking away from this idea.  Much appreciated.
