Question for the Lawyer re: Escort Review Team

The National Board has a discussion going regarding setting up a "Take One for the Team" Team where a select group of hobbyists would take on reviewing unknowns in return for the rest of the hobbyists covering the cost of the date (via small payments to a PayPal acct, for example).

Would this be legal? I can't see why it would be illegal, but would like a professional opinion.

Although I am a civil litigator and not a criminal attorney,  I believe you could be prosecuted on several grounds: Conspiracy, RICO if you use the telephone or the mail (email counts), solicitation, and pandering, come to mind. The hobbyist could also be charged if the government proved that he knowingly engaged in sexual intercourse for money even if someone else made the donation. However, sounds like a noble endeavor with minimal but acceptable risk. If you need legal counsel or better yet a volunteer member of the "select group" let me know.
