A local police department issued a press release saying that a local zen fitness center may be involved with illegal sexual activity.  (The establishment was named in the article.)

It goes on to say that the department had received several complaints, and that the department is going to be investigating same.   The article reports that the business is still open.

Well, my guess is not for long.

This may be a very dubious attempt to close a business without the bother of a raid and subsequent legal dealings by scaring the clientele into thinking they could get busted.   Similarly, the proprietors might be thinking that they should get the hell out of Dodge.

On the other hand, if the complaints were bogus, and the business is legit, the police have committed libel and calumny.

I'll post updates if I see any.

This is up in the Boston area.
