I'm sorry to hear you are having problems. I'm sure you can receive some good advice here, but you are not allowed to barter here.
I imagine that at least one attorney here will also tell you that is would be unethical for him to trade your services for his and that any lawyer who offers to do so shouldn't be trusted.

But you should e-mail the National Assocation of Criminal Defense Lawyers at nacdl.org and ask for names and numbers of any members in your area. This is a national organization, and its members are top-notch. Good luck!

I agree with the Girl Next Door. Nonetheless, this sounds like it could easily be a sting to catch a lawyer or two in that part of the country.
Since this scenario appears regularly on this board, perhaps TER should set up its own legal aid society from within or without its ranks with lower fees to TER providers. If not TER, who or what?
