I think he means serving alcohol.  In that case the age is 21 not 18.  At least the last time I checked.

I assume the OP is trying to be "funny," but for the record, I always provide sparkling apple juice and/or sparkling water in case the provider prefers not to drink alcohol, especially if she might be under (drinking) age. Also, as my review states, I picked her up and dropped her off that evening, so she didn't drive (at least not to or from our meeting).
 
Finally, I stand by that review.
