I would guess not.  I've never seen a lady in the Forum shops that was an escort, other then the lady  I was with.

The ones that are working are usually hanging out at the bar, not shopping (unless they're on their own time).

Vegas attracts a lot of beautiful people, esp close to the expensive shops.

The other thing to notice, when they're on their own time, they usually dress down with no makeup which doesn't attract as much attention, just the way they like it.

Finally a bright guy who realizes that most women don't love, love, love wearing makeup and being dressed up all the time. When I'm not working, I wear zero makeup, greasy hair in a ponytail,  and am usually running around in jeans or sweats. The last thing I want to do when I'm not working is attract attention from the opposite sex. It can be overkill.

Wait until you are 60, overweight with gray hair. You will remember those times when you received  "unwanted attention from the opposite sex." And No the above does not describe me.

Men’s Apparel Guild In California
Back in the late 80’s it outgrew LA and moved to LV.
It’s the largest Apparel show in the US and the second largest show in LV.
About 15 years ago the ladies show joined it. WWD Woman’s Wear Daily.
The mens part is so large it takes up all of the convention center so the womans is at the Sands.
Every major line is there with their models.
It most likely has more beautiful woman in one place than at any other time that I can think of.

Answers:

The Sands hotel and casino was imploded but the Convention Center still exists.

MAGIC is the Men's Apparel convention (at the LV Convention Center) and WWD/MAGIC is the Women's Wear Daily (i.e. Women's Apparel) component of the convention that was held this week at the Sands.

The Sands casino was taken down and the Venetian has taken its place.  The Sands Expo Center is still there (and expanding a bit) and is connected to the Venetian.

The interesting thing about MAGIC is that they hold it twice a year (in Feb and Aug) vs CES (which is in Vegas once a year in Jan).  The only shows that can draw a crowd as big as MAGIC are SEMA/AAPEX, NAB, the Builders Show, and maybe the Western Gift Expo if you count the people coming in for NFR roughly the same time.  Of course, there are worse times of the year (New Years Eve, Valentine's Day, NASCAR weekend (first weekend in March usually) or any holiday weekend for that matter) when tons of people come to town.
