a gentleman in the next room overhears you through paperthin walls talking on the phone. He hears you speaking about escort "stuff" and then calls you to ask for an appt.

This happened to me tonight in another city...he overheard me this afternoon and then when he could hear that I was  back in my room tonight he called through the hotel phone. Has no idea who I am but said he overheard me talking, was going to call a service himself but after hearing me thought he would ask if I was available. Said he knew that this wa a weird request but....

Of course I said no but now am freaked out as I can hear him next door in his room.

Should I be worried? Any advice?

I would screen him like any other guy I screen and if he passes my screening test I would see him .

What the heck ,who cares ..........

what can be feaky ( sorry I don't mean to freak you out ) is what if LE is having a sting in the room next to you , but they don't know your in the room next door ...........now that would be a trip .

I really don't think you need to worry .

If your feeling uncomfortable ask the hotel if you can switch rooms . and next time you talk on the phone,  have the T.V. on ;-)

and really think it was a co-incidence.  COuld not figure out how not to incriminate myself by telling him to go to my website for my rates etc.

Just a little too close to home!

Hey Sara,

I think it was the NSA and they had a listening post next door..

Just trying to lighten things up..:)

The thing is this. We get very sensitive in this business sector. paranoia is almost normal.

It;s best to be careful.

Cindy has one take on this. I can see that, but I don't know (not being a provider) that I would take that route. I just think that anyone that has gone to the trouble to be listening in on your phone calls is a little more than creepy, even if they were not LE.

I know some walls are "paper thin", but still that takes a lot of effort on the eavesdropper. Not to be confused with Name Dropper.

He's weird, I think you made the right move paranoia or not.

Now I am paranoid. How did the mod sneak in here on this thread without the red colored font on his name? WTF

My feeling is that I'd try to orchestrate a chance meeting in the lobby or elevator. But actually calling? That dude has got some serious chutzpa.

Never heard from him or saw him upon my departure!

I must learn to speak more quietly! :)

See you all soon!

It's just W.Bush and his "recording" equipment. ;)

Stay away from him...
