Here's a question for other business travelers.  I keep a list of some providers' #'s on hand when I travel alone.  However, they're not always available when I call....  Anyways, if I do wanna hop onto TER via my laptop in my hotel room, do any of you know a sure fire way to clean up any traces of visiting adult sites on my laptop?  any recommended freeware out there?
thanks

I don't have any good recommendations for freeware for you but I'll say this:  your concern is a valid one.  Just using all the available tools to you under the IE menu "Internet options" and individual program options like Google's "Clear History" and Norton's "Cleansweep", etc, won't cut it.  They all leave stuff behind.  I recently downloaded a url "history reporter" program off a freeware site and was amazed at what it came up with after using all the beforementioned tools.

There are programs that can recover data from a formatted drive.
It happen to us about 4 years ago, one of my employees formatted one of our NT4 servers.

Anyway, The best program that will permanently delete temp browser files, history, etc etc etc... is Window Washer from webroot.com.. Retails for 29.95 at best buy. I don't know of any freeware products that can match Window Washer.

I use Steganos, http://www.steganos.com/./en/ I got it with Zone Alarm http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/home.jsp as a bundled package with a few other goodies.

It works well as far as I can tell.
